 Nikon N4004, N5005, and N6006 camera
repairs
The most common repair on the Nikon N4004, N5005, and N6006 cameras is a
broken latch on the film door.
Although the latch on the side of the camera body occasionally
breaks, it is usually the "hook" on the end of the film door that
breaks. Replacement film doors have not been available for these
models for several years, but we can replace the broken latch with a
metal hook that is made by an aftermarket manufacturer. This looks
as good as the original and we have never seen one these metal latches
break (however, the sliding latch on the end of the camera can still
break).
The repair estimate to repair a broken film door on the Nikon N4004,
N5005, or N6006 is $48
We can also repair most other problems with the N4004, N5005, or
N6006, although the parts supply is limited and becoming more so as time
passes.
The estimate for all other repairs on the Nikon N4004, N5005, and
N6006 is $90
These estimates are pre-approved prices. They are usually accurate,
as long as the listed repair is the only service needed. Please
attach a note to the camera describing the problem and approving the
listed estimate. We will NOT exceed that amount without notifying
you first. This will reduce the repair time. If we find other
problems with the camera or need to change the estimate, we will
notify you. The prices listed do not include the return shipping
charge.
